It was a fair Monday for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan as Rs. 2.25 crores came in. This was due to 1st May being a serial holiday in some parts of the country. Otherwise, the drop was expected since Friday was lower than Thursday, which means a drop of around 50% on Monday was inevitable. Had Friday been greater than Thursday then it would have automatically entailed good growth over Saturday and Sunday but when that didn’t happen either even with no competition, it was further reaffirmation of the fact that the film was primarily catering to hard-core Eid audience. However, this Monday hold has added around 1 crore extra to the total.
The film had a second weekend of around Rs. 10 crores and now close to Rs. 5-6 crores is expected to be collected during the weekdays. That would be the case if the film sees a regular 10% day on day drop. If there is any single day that sees a bigger fall then the number could get into that Rs. 4.50-5 crores zone.
The Salman Khan starrer has now collected Rs. 104.50 crores at the box office and while it has managed to go past the Rs. 100 crores mark, the only other milestone that it would be aiming for is to become Salman Khan’s 15th biggest grosser by going past Jai Ho lifetime of Rs. 115 crores. Both Tubelight and Ready were at Rs. 120 crores lifetime but they seem very difficult to be surpassed now.
