The Sandeep Vanga directed film Kabir Singh released yesterday across 3123 screens in the domestic market. Starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role the film which is a remake of the south film Arjun Reddy opening on a good note despite the Adults Only certification.

Collecting Rs. 20.21 cr Kabir Singh has managed to surpass the collections of Shahid Kapoor’s previous release Padmaavat that had collected Rs. 19 cr to become Shahid Kapoor’s highest opening day grosser.

Currently, Kabir Singh faces little to no competition at the box office, and is expected to see an increase in footfalls over the weekend. Now all that remains to be seen is, whether the film goes on to become one of Shahid Kappor’s highest opening weekend grosser.
