The Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer family drama, Jug Jugg Jeeyo is rock steady at the box office on the weekdays. According to early estimates, the movie has shown a nominal drop of less than 10 percent on Tuesday, with collections in range of Rs. 4.50 to 4.60 crores. The movie has continued with steady trend in the multiplexes of the top 8 cities.
The five day total of Jug Jugg Jeeyo stands at north of Rs. 46 crores and the movie is now headed towards an opening week of Rs. 53 crores. On Wednesday, Jug Jugg Jeeyo will go past the collections of Bachchan Paandey and by the end of second weekend, it will surpass Samrat Prithviraj to emerge the 3rd highest grossing Hindi film of 2022 after The Kashmir Files and Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Jug Jugg Jeeyo is fairing the best at premium centres , and that was more or less expected given that the central theme of the film revolves around a divorce. It's a rather urban subject, though the team tried to make it a wider film with the use of humour. The fifth day collection of Jug Jugg Jeeyo is pretty rock-solid and if it manages to sustain in the Rs. 4 crore range on Wednesday and Thursday, it will get back to the track in the 2nd weekend. Jug Jugg Jeeyo is firmly in the race to collect Rs. 75 crores in its lifetime run, though a lot depends on the jumps on Saturday & Sunday.
