One of the highly anticipated films of the year, Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna, is set to hit the theatres on September 9, 2022. With the excitement amongst the fans increasing, the makers have opened up advance bookings. The film will be released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D formats. Now, we have some insights into advance bookings in the United States.
While India will see the film release on Friday, September 9, Brahmastra will have paid previews in the United States from September 8 onwards with shows starting from 5 pm onwards. The advance bookings in the US have sold tickets worth 100K USD for Thursday’s paid previews.
At the Hyderabad event on Friday, it was confirmed that the film is getting the widest release across 8000 screens. K Madhavan, Country Manager & President Disney Star, revealed, “Brahmastra is not an Indian film. It will be traveling across the world. We are going to release it on almost 8000 screens - 5000 in India and 3000 worldwide. I think it is happening for the first time.”

Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, the magnum opus will release theatrically on 9th September across 5 Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada with a stellar ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
