Around the release of the film Dhoom 3, Aamir Khan had come up with an innovative way of measuring a film's success. According to this new metric, a higher multiple indicates strong content and therefore longevity at cinemas, which in turn signifies footfalls being attracted in subsequent weeks.
In this analysis, we compare some of the highest grossing films of recent years taking into consideration only their North America box office collections. Interestingly, the Overseas chart features the Kangna Ranaut starrer Queen as the topper with a Weekend to Lifetime multiple of 7.28. Vicky Donor and Kahaani take the second and third slots with multiples of 4.47 and 3.87 respectively.
