It's been two weeks since the release of Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book hit screens, and the film that was dubbed in Hindi has been doing brisk business at the box-office. Withpeople still flocking to theatres, The Jungle Book looks set to continue its strong run in the theatres.
In this box office report, we take a look at the domestic collections of The Jungle Book while comparing them to other releases. Interestingly, the film has managed to conclude its second
week running in theaters on a thunderous note collecting Rs. 47.69 cr in Week 2 and starting with Week 3 with a collection of Rs.3.58 on Friday, which brings the overall total collection to Rs.
125.35 cr. In fact, The Jungle Book that has already attained the status of becoming the second Highest Grosser in India has also managed to surpass the lifetime business of a
handful of Bollywood films like Neerja which was the second highest grosser of 2016 (Hindi Films) so far with collections of Rs. 75.61 cr. If that wasn't enough with little to no competition
from Hindi films released this week, The Jungle Book should remain strong in Week 3 as well.
Now all that's left to be seen is whether The Jungle Book manages to crosses Rs. 150 cr at the Indian box office.
