While Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express collected Rs. 227.13cr in its Lifetime Collections, Salman Khan's Kick has already made Rs. 228.08 cr and still running in the theatres.

Interestingly, while Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express, that also featured paid previews, took the lead in the business in the Opening Weekend, it was Salman Khan's Kick that took the lead in business through the rest of the weeks. Looking at the chart that compares both films based on their collections on a weekly basis, Chennai Express recorded a stunning Rs. 100.42 crores opening weekend as compared to a Rs. 83.73 crores that Kick earned.
However, the subsequent weeks and weekends that followed witnessed Kick taking the lead over the business of Chennai Express, except for the third weekend when Chennai Express recorded Rs. 10.48 crores as compared to Kick that generated Rs. 8.83 crores.
