Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali the film which was mired in controversies for the past couple of months released earlier this month amid high security in the domestic market. Despite the delay in the release of the film and the turmoil surrounding it, the business of Padmaavat at the worldwide box office has been rather good with audience flocking to theatres patronizing it. Collecting Rs. 213.46 cr. gross within the domestic market, the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor starrer that has been running to packed houses in most locations has done brilliantly well. Given the fact that the film features little to no screenings in certain other domestic territories such collections at the box office is definitely a benchmark.
