Box Office: Opening Day collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan Vs Salman Khan’s previous releases

Bajrangi Bhaijaan released yesterday. Contrary to

expectations of opening on a slightly slower note due to pre-Eid preparations, the Kabir Khan directed film opened with a

bang. Featuring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film has been making headlines for the past few weeks. With so

much hype surrounding the film the box office collections would obviously be good.

In this box office report, we take a look at the Opening Day collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan while comparing them

to Salman Khan's previously released films. Not surprisingly, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that has received rave reviews

across the board has managed to collect Rs. 27. 25 crores, out beating the actor's previous release Kick that

collected Rs. 26.40 crores. However, as far as the collaboration of Kabir Khan and Salman Khan is concerned, the film

that rules the first position is Ek Tha Tiger that collected Rs. 32.93 crores.

With collections surpassing most of Salman's previous releases, Bajrangi Bhaijaan claims the second slot to become

Salman Khan's Second Highest Opening Day grosser till date. Also, the film is expected to do better business during the

weekend.
