The recently released film Main Tera Hero (MTH) that features Varun Dhawan, Nargis Fakhri
and Ileana D'Cruz has been performing rather well. While the film is still running in theatres,
Bollywood Hungama decided to take a look at its Opening Weekend Collections in comparison
to other big films that released in the first quarter of 2014.
Surprisingly, MTH comes is at number 4 in the Top 10 Highest Opening Weekend Grossers of 2014
collecting Rs. 22.73 crores. Though the film out beats others like Shaadi Ke Side Effects
(Rs. 21.26 crores), Yaariyan (Rs. 19.20 crores), Highway (Rs. 13.97 crores) and
Queen (Rs. 10 crores), it loses the top three slots to Salman Khan's Jai Ho (Rs.
60.68 crores), Gunday (Rs. 43.93 crores) and Ragini MMS 2 (Rs. 24.50 crores).
However, since the film is still running in the theatres, the overall collections are expected
to peak over the week, considering that the T20 Word Cup Series has now ended.
