The Telugu-Hindi bi-lingual Jatadhara has given producer Prerna Arora the confidence to attempt a much bigger project next. Rumour has it that she is in talks with a number of A-listers in Bollywood and the Telugu film industries.
“Please don’t mention any names until we sign them official. But yes, we are looking at a much bigger project, bigger in scale and scope, than Jatadhara. It will be something audiences have not seen before.”
About the box office performance of Jatadhara, Prerna said that she is satisfied. “No one lost money. We are financially in a safe place with Jatadhara.”
Jatadhara has brought Prerna Arora back into the reckoning. “It did what it was meant to. It put me back on the map. As a woman dealing with all sorts of maligning tactics, I had to really struggle to wriggle out of the rabbit hole. Jatadhara has put me back on firm ground.”
Is it true Prerna will direct her next production?
“I can’t reveal that right now. But I am not ruling out that possibility.”
