The Rohit Shetty directed film Golmaal Again released on Friday to a good response from both the audience and critics alike. Starring Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemmu, Shreyas Talpade along with Parineeti Chopra and Tabu the film which released across 3500+ screens has been doing brisk business.
In this box office report we take a look at the opening day collections of Golmaal Again while comparing the same to previously released films of 2017. Collecting Rs. 30.14 cr, Golmaal Again surpasses the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s release Raees that had collected Rs. 20.42 cr and Salman Khan starrer Tubelight to become the second highest opening day grosser of 2017. However, preceding Golmaal Again on the list are the previous releases Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 41 cr.
On the other hand Golmaal Again which is the fourth film in the Golmaal franchise has also managed to perform better than other releases of 2017 like Judwaa 2 that collected Rs. 16.1 cr, Jab Harry Met Sejal that collected Rs. 15.25 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 13.2 cr, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha that collected Rs. 13.1 cr, Baadshaho that collected Rs. 12.6 cr and Badrinath Ki Dulhania that collected Rs. 12.25 cr.
