The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal that released back in December last year hit screens in China just a couple of weeks back. Despite the film hitting screens in China much after its global release Dangal has managed to do rather well at the box office. In fact the film which has not only enticed the audience but has also emerged as one of the highest grossing films in China seems to be on a roll.
Now on its fifteenth day in the Chinese market Dangal has managed to rake in a further USD 5.99 million [Rs. 38.61 cr]. With this the cumulative total of Dangal’s box office collections in China currently stand at USD 84.47 million [Rs. 544.48 cr]. If raking in over Rs. 500 cr at the Chinese box office wasn’t enough Dangal that has been giving other releases strong competition in this territory continues to hold strong as the days progress.
In fact going by the current trend, Dangal is more than likely to cross the Rs. 600 cr benchmark at the Chinese box office by the close of business on its third weekend running.
