The much talked about and keenly anticipated latest Marvel Studios’ action flick Black Panther released in India in Hindi and English. Keeping with the overseas trend of rave reviews the film garnered critical acclaim here as well, and has in fact captured the audiences’ attention. Going by reports, Black Panther that released yesterday has taken off to a flying start with Rs. 5.60 cr coming on its opening day.
With Rs. 0.35 cr coming in from paid previews of Black Panther on Thursday evening and another Rs. 5.25 cr coming in on Friday, the total business of the film including paid previews stands at Rs. 5.60 cr. If that wasn’t all, the film that has earned a staggering Rs. 7.18 cr gross at the Indian box office has now become the highest opening for any Hollywood solo superhero debut movie. Apart from this Black Panther though, being Marvel Studios’ 18th film and the first this year has also become the highest for any Hollywood film in 2018.
As of now, with positive reviews and good word of mouth, Black Panther is expected to continue to dominate at the box office, adding yet another feather to Marvel’s hat.
