The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal released last year on December 23. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film received a warm welcome from the audiences, fast making it to the Rs. 100 crore club in just three days. Well, after opening on a high note, Dangal continued its stellar run at the box office.
In this special report, we take a look at the collections of Dangal on its fourth weekend while comparing it to previous releases that have made it to their fourth weekend. Collecting Rs. 10.24 cr., Dangal becomes the highest fourth weekend Bollywood grosser till date. While Dangal surpasses the collections of previous releases like PK that collected Rs. 8.65 cr., Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 7.69 cr., Bajirao Mastani that collected Rs. 6.45 cr. and others, it does not manage to surpass the collections of the Hollywood release The Jungle Book that had collected Rs. 10.47 cr. in its fourth weekend. However, technically The Jungle Book is a Hollywood film, hence amongst Bollywood releases, Dangal has set a new record with the highest fourth week collections.
