The Anees Bazmee directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani was released over two weeks ago, and since then the film has proved to be unstoppable. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which opened on a good note, has seen continued sustenance week after week, despite newer releases hitting screens. Now on its third weekend running the film has seen its collections hold steady despite competition from three new releases.
In this box office report, we look at the third-weekend collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 13.07 cr Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has emerged as the fourth highest third weekend grosser of 2022. Preceded by releases like RRR which collected Rs. 23 cr, The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 20.85 cr, and KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 20.77 cr. When compared to non-dubbed Hindi Bollywood releases the Kartik Aaryan starrer ranks as the second-highest third weekend grosser, surpassing the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiwadi which had collected Rs. 11.50 cr.
On the other hand, when compared to all-time releases, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 manages to surpass Dhoom 3, which collected Rs. 12.91 cr, Bahubali – The Beginning which collected Rs. 12.56 cr, and Simmba which had collected Rs. 12.41 cr to ranks as the 20th all-time highest third weekend grosser.
Going forward, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which continues to enjoy superb trending, is expected to continue its run well into its fourth week. Crossing the Rs. 150 cr mark the business of the film is currently pegged at Rs. 154.82 cr. As for its business in week four, with the new releases underperforming at the box office, the Kartik Aaryan starrer stands a good chance of seeing its overall collections going further up as the week progresses.
