Leading the list of Sajid’s highest opening day grossers are the filmmaker’s previous releases like Salman Khan starrer Kick that collected Rs. 26.40 cr, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 that collected Rs. 25.10 cr, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4 that collected Rs. 16.50 cr, Varun Dhawan’sJudwaa 2 that collected Rs. 16.10 cr, and Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 that had collected Rs. 15.21 cr, and Housefull 2 that collected Rs. 14 cr.
However, the business of Bachchhan Paandey does manage to surpass the filmmaker’s other releases like Arjun Kapoor & Alia Bhatt’s 2 States that collected Rs. 12.42 cr, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi that collected Rs. 11.94 cr, and John Abraham & Varun Dhawan’s Dishoom that had collected Rs. 11.05 cr.
Currently, Bachchhan Paandey faces an uphill task at the box office, and will have to rely heavily on positive word of mouth to sustain business over the coming week.
