Amazon Prime Video event: Fallout team shows exclusive footage; Karan Johar jokes, “I love how polite our paparazzi is for those who comes from the West”

The Amazon Prime Video event held today in Mumbai turned out to be a memorable one for several reasons. The event started with a bang with the promotion of the streaming giant’s much awaited international show, Fallout. The guests were treated to an exclusive footage from the second episode of the show.

Mike Hopkins, Senior Vice President, Amazon, said why they decided to back Fallout. “It started for me as a fan of the game. The game is dramatic, larger-than-life, violent but it’s also funny and deeply weird. I cannot wait for India and the rest of the world to experience the series,” she said.

 

Director Jonathan Nolan and actor Ella Purnell also graced this event, and they talked about being in India for the first time. Jonathan said that he was about to visit India during the shoot of The Dark Knight Rises (2012) but couldn’t make it.

 

 

Ella Purnell stated, “It’s not just another post apocalyptic show. It’s a mixture of tones. It is funny, it’s not just plain and depressing. It is political, which it has to be! Preparing for it was like stepping back and starting with a blank slate.”

 

Jonathan then revealed that they are going to play the scene where the three characters encounter each other.

 

After the footage was shown, the team of Fallout posed for photographs. Karan Johar, the host, was amused to see the paps instructing the celebs softly. He joked, “I love how polite our paparazzi is for those who comes from the West. I wish we got a dose of it ourselves!”
