Lock Upp Season 1 Finale: Munawar Faruqui emerges winner

‘When life gives you a lemon, make lemonade’, this adage fits perfectly for Munawar Faruqui who is declared the winner of the Lock Upp season 1. The comedian seems to have won many hearts during the show and this is first-ever reality show win. The contestant has heartily thanked for all the love and affection he received from all over the country.

From a spate of forced cancellations to facing one of the severe downfalls in his career, Munawar Faruqui seems to be looking up towards success now.

 

 

Looking back through his journey, Munawar had a challenging journey in Lock Upp season 1. From ending up in several arguments with the host Kangana on the first day itself to revealing his secret marriage and a child, the comedian’s life was a big talk to the town during the first season. Needless to say, his chemistry with ‘Kacha Badam’ girl Anjali garnered a lot of attention, including the unwanted ones. He also shared a rather strong friendship with yet another contestant – former Roadies and Bigg Boss winner Prince Narula.

 

 

However, it seems that Munawar’s win doesn’t come as a surprise. A source close to the show said, “There is no surprise that Munawar Faruqui won! His brave moves, upfront nature, and chocolate boyish charms have remained outmatched in the show. His triumph in the show Lock Upp has earned him a check of 20 Lakhs, A trip to Italy for two and Maruti Suzuki The Next-Gen Ertiga Car - Bring Back together.”

 

Lock Upp is a popular show on OTT, hosted by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. The finalists of the first season included Payal Rohatgi, Anjali Arora, Shivam Sharma and Azma Fallah.
