"Grateful for this new life"- Pooja Bhatt marks three years of being sober with a heartfelt note

At the end of the day, what defines a person is his/her willpower that takes one past all obstacles. It is no mean feat to come out in open and admit where you went wrong. Actor Pooja Bhatt, who once developed a major addiction towards alcohol, has been sober for a few years now. She takes pride in it, and the internet could not be happier.

Upon completing three years of being sober, Pooja took to social media and penned a heartfelt note.  "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32) Three years sober today. Gratitude to the universe & the hand that guides me. Grateful for this new life,for new perspective and renewed capacity to look myself & life squarely in the eye," she wrote. Her post was accompanied by a photograph of a large wooden cross, on the backdrop of greenery. Just the right spirit when Christmas around the corner!

 

 

 

Pooja will be also seen on the big screen after a really long time, in father Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2. A sequel to Bhatt's cult film Sadak, Sadak 2 will star Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role.
