Box Office: Tiger Zinda Hai collects 12.5 mil. USD [Rs. 80 cr.] in opening week in overseas

 

Tiger Zinda Hai directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif released last week on Friday across 1100 screens in the overseas market. After drawing in USD 8.55 million [Rs. 54.7 cr] on its extended opening weekend, the business of Tiger Zinda Hai has now managed to draw in a staggering USD 12.50 million [Rs. 80 cr] in its opening week in the overseas market. As expected the UAE/GCC territory which is a Salman Khan strong hold makes up for a major chunk of Tiger Zinda Hai’s overseas collections with USD 4.330 million [Rs. 27.65 cr] coming in, the territory of USA & Canada comes in second with collections pegged at USD 3.654 million [Rs. 23.33 cr], UK & Ireland recorded USD 1.330 million [Rs. 8.49 cr] and another USD 3.186 million [Rs. 20.35 cr] coming in from the rest of the world.

 

Though this staggering collections of Tiger Zinda Hai just prove that the film is in fact quite a success, reports state that the overall business of the film is likely to be higher since certain screens are yet to report.
