Almost a year ago, Sunny Deol had been signed by producer T.P. Aggarwal for a special appearance in his new film AUR PHIR EK DIN, being directed by Akashdeep (GHAATH). Sunny had promised dates as soon as he got free from INDIAN, but after the phenomenal success of GADAR, Sunny suddenly found himself flooded with offers and more offers.
Aggarwal waited patiently for almost seven/eight months. But there seems to be a change in the project now. Aggarwal has decided to go ahead with another hero instead. On his part, Sunny has already refunded a part of the signing amount to the producer. We decided to part amicably, Aggarwal states, There's no ill feeling between us.
Director Akashdeep also maintains that Sunny's exit from AUR PHIR EK DIN is their loss. Sunny is deepneck into SHAHEED and was unable to accommodate us. But he was gracious enough to understand our problem. It was a mutual decision to part ways. It's our loss, not his, he tells us.
