Salman to be tried under culpable homicide
Salman Khan was earlier being tried under the charges of rash and negligent driving, for his involvement in the 2002 hit and run case. Now, the Mumbai sessions court in its hearing today has since changed the charges to that of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
If convicted under this new charge, the actor can face up to 10 years in prison, as compared to the diminutive two years under the earlier charges. Despite the hearing being scheduled for today, Salman was not present in court. In view of his absence the court has given him a month to appear.Salman to be tried under culpable homicide
