Revolving around the lives of free-spirited youngsters, Cocktail explores the complicated web of love and friendship.

Meera (Diana Penty), a shy and traditional girl arrives in UK in search of her husband only to realize that she has been cheated by the man she was dependant on. While she struggles to... survive in an unknown city, she meets (Deepika Padukone), a rich spoilt UK citizen who decides to give shelter to the sweet Meera. Veronica who later comes across Gautam, an incorrigible flirt, has a 'no strings attached' relationship with him after he moves in with them. As the friendship blooms between the three, complications arise as Gautam's mother (Dimple Kapadia) arrives without a notice only to find Gautam staying in with two girls. In order to escape the wrath of his traditional mother, Gautam fakes a relationship with Meera. However, things change when Gautam realizes his true feelings for Meera and when Veronica expresses her desire to take their relationship to the next level.
