AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH is the story of a family in distress. After the events of the AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER [2022], Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and their children, Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), Lo'ak (Britain Dalton) and daughter Tuktirey aka Tuk (Trinity Jo-Li Bliss) are mourning... the loss of the couple's elder son Neteyam (Jamie Flatters). Miles Socorro aka Spider (Jake Champion) has reunited with the Sullys and is now residing with them, along with the members of the Metkayina tribe. Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) gets back to the base after his defeat last time and once again begins to prepare for the attack on Jake and his family. Spider is running out of oxygen masks and Jake and Neytiri fear he can become a burden on them. The Wind Traders arrive at the Metkayina village; Jake and Neytiri decide to send Spider with the traders so that he can reunite with the human community. Their children protest. Hence, Jake and Neytiri decide to join the Wind Traders, along with the kids, in sending off Spider. On the way, they are attacked by the violent members of the Mangkwan clan, headed by the ruthless Varang (Oona Chaplin). While the Sullys are trying to fight them off, Miles gets the intel of the presence of the Sullys in the forest and he also arrives at the site to finish them off. Meanwhile, Spider runs out of oxygen and is struggling to breathe and survive. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
