The Varun Dhawan starrer Judwaa 2 is on a roll. Since its release on Friday the David Dhawan directed film has been growing with each passing show. Released across 3500+ screens within the domestic market Judwaa 2 managed to rake in Rs. 16.10 cr. on opening day.
Following a great start the business of Judwaa 2 saw a jump in collections on Saturday Day 2 with Rs. 20.55 cr. coming in. Keeping up the momentum the film is expected to see yet another spurt of growth on Day 3, with reports stating that Judwaa 2 is doing rather phenomenally well in the mass dominated sector of Bihar as well as West Bengal.
However, the business of Judwaa 2 might see a slight dip due to the cricket match between India and Australia which is expected to play spoilsport. But despite cricket being akin to a religion within India, predictions state that the said match will have a minimal effect. On the other hand, considering that Monday is a holiday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (October 2), the overall footfalls at theatres over evening and night shows is expected to more than compensate for the dip due to the match.
Given the above facts and the trends at the box office, Judwaa 2 is all set to end the Day 3 with approx. 23 cr. and close the weekend with approx. 60 crores.
Judwaa 2 will become Varun Dhawan's highest weekend grosser and is expected to surpass the lifetime of Jab Harry Met Sejal in just 4 days flat.
