The recently released fourth instalment in the Hate Story franchise seems to have opened on a good note at the box office. Directed by Vishal Pandya the film starring Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, and Ihana Dhillon has continued to see growth over its opening weekend. In fact, the film has managed to become the 5th highest opening weekend grosser of 2018.
Collecting Rs. 12.57 cr, Hate Story IV has managed to surpass the opening weekend collections of the Sidharth Malhotra – Manoj Bajpayee starrer Aiyaary that collected Rs. 11.70 cr to claim the fifth spot. However, the business of the film does not manage to out beat the collections of certain other previous releases like the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmaavat that collected Rs. 114 cr, Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man that collected Rs. 40.05 cr, Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that collected Rs. 26.57 cr, and the Anushka Sharma thriller Pari that collected Rs. 15.34 cr.
With little competition coming in from the previous release Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, the business of Hate Story IV is expected to see good growth over the coming weekdays.
