"Mira Nair's Shantaram is very much on"- Irrfan Khan

A report quoting Irrfan Khan as saying that Mira Nair's Shantaram is shelved has the dedicated actor utterly puzzled.
"I never said that! Why would I, when the film is very much on, just pushed ahead. In fact, Mira has lived with the project for so long Shantaram has become an integral part of her life," says Irrfan who dabbles in action and comedy for the first time in two different films.
"With Right Ya Wrong, which I'm currently shooting in the outskirts of Mumbai, I'm doing an action film for the first time. And in Rohit Shetty's Sunday, which is ready for release, I do comedy for the first time. Audiences have seen all my co-stars in Sunday—Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Ayesha Takia—do comedy. But not me."
