This film festival is the oldest in the whole of the Middle East and continues to make forward strides year after year, rising to greater heights. It is a major attraction to members of World cinema who come to enjoy the artistic and cultural exchange through film. The Cairo Film Festival also hopes to contribute to cementing the bridges among the nations of the world and to better understanding our fellow human beings in every corner of the globe.

"We are extremely proud to receive this bit of news", says Pritish Nandy, Chairman of PNC, "for it reaffirms our commitment to the new kind of cinema that is changing Bollywood and making it a global force to reckon with." Pyaar Ke Side/Effects was directed by debutante director Saket Chaudhary and starred Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose. Its music by Pritam broke all records and stayed on the charts for a very long period of time.
