'1857 - The Indian Mutiny'

Producer Firoz Nadiadwala is busy planning one of his most ambitious projects to be made under his banner, Base Industries Group. He is making a huge film on the first Indian mutiny of 1857, whose 150th anniversary is being commemorated this year [2007]. Firoz has already finalized a leading director to direct this prestigious project.
The film will focus on six major players of the mutiny, namely Tatya Tope, Nanasaheb Peshwa, Mangal Pandey, Bahadurshah Zafar, Rani of Jhansi and Azeezan Bai. The roles will be enacted by some of the biggest names of the industry. Several Hollywood names will also be finalized to play significant parts. Also, some of the best technicians in the world will be a part of the formidable team.
