Writer-director Ammtoje Mann started his directorial career with Hawayeein in 2003, which depicted the truth behind Punjab’s Operation Blue Star and the 1984 riots. A director known for his sensitivity in choosing subjects has yet again chosen a subject which has not been explored so far.
Illegal Immigration is the subject on which Kaafila, the next directorial venture of Ammtoje is based on. The film which released this week stars Sunny Deol and top ranking Pakistani actress Sana Nawaz in the lead roles, along with Sudesh Berry, Ashish Duggal and others from the theatre and modeling world and few artists from Bulgaria and Uzbekistan.
