'Cash', 'Gandhi My Father', 'Chak De India', 'Kaafila', Heyy Babyy' and 'Ram Gopal Varma Ke Aag' - When half a dozen biggies like this come one after another this August, it is hard for any other film to make it's presence felt. Surprisingly, in a cramped situation like this, a film that is doing wonderfully well to get itself noticed is relatively smaller Aggar'.

Varun Bajaj, co-producer of 'Aggar' says, "We were always confident about the film to catch eyeballs. The promos have been appreciated ever since they came on air while the songs are turning out to be popular too. 'Nachle' kick started the campaign for us while 'Ke Bin Tere' has set the ball rolling for us. In fact the music company is so elated with the response to 'Ke Bin Tere' that they are sustaining it on the music channels for some more time before we get the third song on. The music album has just arrived on stands and the response has been quite positive so far."

Music has always been the hallmark of films coming from Bajaj brothers. After all the producers have long list of musical successes like 'Bandhan', 'Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye', 'Aksar' and most recently 'The Train'. "And I am quite sure that 'Aggar' would also join the list", says Varun promptly, "Mithoon (composer) and Sayeed Quadri (lyricist) have done a fantastic job once again to come up with a complete album. It's the kind of music which grows with every passing day. I am sure that by the film arrives at theaters, the music would have reached out to millions."

Is he equally confident about the film as well? "Of course I am", exclaims a confident Varun, "The film is shocking and has to be seen to be believed. Director Ananth Mahadevan has made a tout thriller. While Tusshar Kapoor and Udita Goswami have only shown rapid progress with each of their films, Shreyas Talpade is going to a throw a big surprise."

How? Explains Varun, "With 'Aggar' he will show how versatile an actor he is. The film gives him a platform to venture into a new territory. 'Aggar' is his first mainstream commercial potboiler. While his 'Iqbal' and 'Dor' were offbeat, 'Apna Sapna Money Money' didn't quite tap his potential to the fullest."

He seems quite happy with the kind of effort put by his cast members. "It is good to be working with a young bunch which has that much needed hunger in them. The film also features Sophie Chaudhary and Nauheed Cyrusi who have relatively small but important roles to play. Together they are all coming together to give you a shock of your life," Varun concludes mischievously.
