Sanjay Chhel to direct film after five years

Writer turned director Sanjay Chhel is all set to make a come back after a gap of five year. He has announced a romantic comedy tentatively titled Khanna and Patel. This film will be produced by Percept Picture Company. Chhel had directed Sanjay Dutt and Urmila starrer Khoobsurat (1999) followed by Kyaa Dil Ne Kaha (2002) which starred Tusshar Kapoor and Esha Deol.
Sanjay explains that Khanna and Patel will be a feel-good romance that deals with a father and two young boy’s relationship. Though he is yet to finalize star cast for this film, he has signed Mithun Chakraborty and a new boy as of now.
Chhel is also planning a political comedy on the lines of Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron with Venus and will finalize the star cast soon. Meanwhile, Sanjay will continue with writing scripts. His forthcoming film as a scriptwriter is Salman Khan and Govinda starrer Partner and Aziz Mirza’s Lucky Charm with Shahid Kapur and Vidya Balan.
