Tamarindo is a story of a Brazilian journalist who goes to Goa in search of his father. The film revolves around homecoming, belongings and the quest for roots. This Indo-Brazilian joint venture will be directed by Kolkota based director Indranil Chakravarty and produced by a Brazilian producer Ana Cristina Costa e Silva.

According to India’s ambassador to Brazil, Hardeep Singh Puri, this Indo-Brazilian film can connect people of both sides emotionally. Tamarindo will be shot in India, Portugal and Brazil.
