Amitabh receives special gift from Yorkshire Government Click here to add this article to My Clips

By Devansh Patel (reporting from Yorkshire), June 7, 2007 - 12:38 IST

Here are some exclusive tidbits from IIFA and remember you heard them first only on IndiaFM.

Amitabh Bachchan received a special gift from the Yorkshire Government at a press conference at IIFA. A dark blue blazer made its way onto Amitabh’s shoulders when he was presented with it. In fact, in front of the whole media Amitabh took off the blazer he was wearing and put on the one he received. On first sight you might just think its a regular blazer with stripes on it but when you get a closer look, one can notice that Yorkshire is written in thin words all over giving it the effect of stripes.

Shilpa Shetty was also present at the press conference. She was wearing a green top to support the fight against global warming. Global Warming is a core issue today and the stars were definitely there to support the fight against it.

Amitabh Bachchan arriving in his black Mercedes was the first celebrity to walk across the green carpet in eight years. Not having the universal red carpet this year, the green carpet is being used throughout to support the fight against Global Warming.
