An unbeatable combination is being planned…

After the super-success of NAMASTEY LONDON, Vipul Amrutlal Shah has decided to entrust the directorial reins of his immediate next film to Anees Bazmee. Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead, the film is called SINGH THE KING.

“Oh yes, we are talking to Anees,” Vipul Shah confirms the development, “But Anees has a lot of commitments to fulfill. We cannot start until there’s clarity on working dates. We are definitely trying to work things out and a clearer picture should emerge in a week from now.”

Akshay has agreed in principle to star in SINGH THE KING. In fact, the film will be shot entirely in New York and the dates are being matched currently. “See, everything will fall in place once Anees’ dates are finalized. Anees is going out of town today and has promised to work things out once he returns,” Vipul divulges.

What about his own film? Isn’t he planning to direct after NAMSTEY LONDON? ”I’ve started work on a story, but it’ll take another 3/4 months to complete the writing. One thing is for sure, I am not starting my next directorial assignment this year. That’ll only happen in 2008,” he states.
