Payal Rohatgi gets a fan in Darmesh Darshan

Payal Rohatgi is on cloud nine these days. Not because her career is shaping up really well but because noted film personalities have noticed the rise in her career graph. A major change from the films she initially signed. “What’s the point of a great script when none of the educated people could get inspired by it, not watch it as the film gets promoted as a sex flick. I must admit all of these past films gave me my brand, made my surname famous though different from what I imagined. Through that I realized I did not come from the same sensibilities as these people and prayed to God to do something as I was not happy”, said she.
And God did just that. Her career moved into the A grade club with Subhash Ghai’s 36 China Town, her brand improved with a solo song in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate and now she is getting into a heroine category with a positive second lead in Priyadarshan’s Dhol.
It doesn’t stop there. Payal is glad that a director like Dharmesh Darshan called her up to appreciate the way she is intelligently handling her career.
Payal too is all praises for Dharmesh. “I know how Dharmeshji did a complete makeover to Karisma in Raja Hindustani which got her into the proper heroine category after her sexy numbers in her earlier films. He repeated that with Shilpa Shetty in Dhadkan. I am glad he is noticing my efforts and it would be an honor to work with him.”
