Arrest warrant issued against Gere and Shilpa

Shilpa Shetty and Richard Gere’s kiss issue took a new turn now. A Jaipur court on Thursday issued arrest warrants against the duo. Jaipur city Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Dinesh Gupta issued the warrants on the basis of a complaint filed by Jaipur resident Poonam Chand Bhandari.
This kissing incident happened when both celebrities came together for an AIDS awareness event which was organized by philanthropist Parmeshwar Godrej. In rage of this incident, some political groups objected to the episode and burnt effigies of Gere on the streets of Varanasi, Bhopal, Kanpur, Indore, Delhi and Mumbai.
The protesters also demanded that Gere should leave country immediately or apologize for his indecent behavior. According to Parmeshwar Godrej, all the effort and the purpose put up for such a cause went unnoticed because of the outburst.
