Here's some interesting trivia…
- B.R. Chopra interacted with students of Whistling Woods International on his 93rd birthday. The veteran was joined by his son, film-maker Ravi Chopra. He also planted a tree there. The students were shown scenes from the songless thriller KANOON, the ground-breaking courtroom drama INSAAF KA TARAZU, the B & W classic NAYA DAUR and the mega-serial MAHABHARAT. The W.W.I. students presented him with a book on Buddha and a shawl and in return Chopra presented them a signed copy of a series of books on 'The Mahabharat'.
- Well-known action director Allan Amin has been nominated for Taurus World Stunt Award in the category of Best Action in a Foreign Film for his work in DHOOM 2. The award ceremony will take place on 20th May at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, California.
- Govinda seems serious about his comeback. Chow & Mow of Modern Dance Academy are teaching Govinda to Salsa and Jive. The dance forms will not only help him stay fit, but will also polish his dancing skills.
- B.R. Chopra's B & W classic NAYA DAUR, starring Dilip Kumar and Vyjayantimala, will be released in color on 1st June.
- Emraan Hashmi starrers GOOD BOY BAD BOY and THE TRAIN were slated for release back to back. But the clash has been averted. While GOOD BOY BAD BOY will be released on 11th May, THE TRAIN has been shifted to 8th June.
- On Friday, 13th April, DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE entered 600th week of continuous run at Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the movie opened to packed houses and rave reviews way back on 20th October, 1995. D.D.L.J. was director Aditya Chopra's first film, at the young age of 23.
