Breakthrough move at SSKI, iDream Production

In a breakthrough business decision, SSKI head honcho Shripal Morakhia is divesting 50% stake in iDream Production, a sister company of SSKI, to its senior management, Ashish Bhatnagar and Rohit Sharma, giving them complete autonomy for taking the business forward. Effectively, iDream Production is now the domain of the executive management team.

The international business is now being captured in iDream Independent Pictures [IDIP], a joint venture [75:25] between iDream Production and Crossover Ventures, a London-based production/financing company. Based in London and India, IDIP is interested in representing Indian films which have an international appeal for the non-Indian markets and also sell India-centric English films for the international markets.

IDIP is set to launch seven films produced by reputed producers at Cannes in May 2007.
