Sunny versus Bobby

- Hopefully, two long-in-the-making films will clash with each other on 30th March: ZAMAANAT [Amitabh, Arshad Warsi] and BIG BROTHER [Sunny Deol, Priyanka Chopra]. There are three medium-budget films on this date as well: LIFE MEIN KABHIE KABHIEE, KHANNA & IYER and DELHII HEIGHTS. Whew! 30th March is indeed crowded!
- 11th May is another crowded date, as of now. As many as three films are confirmed on this date: METRO, SWAMI [choreographer Ganesh Acharya’s directorial debut] and MP3 [MERA PEHLA PEHLA PYAAR].
- Two Sunny Deol starrers are expected to clash in the first week of June: Firoz A. Nadiadwala’s FOOL AND FINAL and Ammtoje Mann’s KAAFILA. Incidentally, Bobby Deol’s NANHE is also confirmed on this date -- 1st June. Will the brothers battle it out at the ticket window?
- Ramesh Sippy’s FEAR, distributed by UTV, has jumped from April to July. Initially slated for 13th April release, the film has been shifted to 13th July. Reasons? “One, we didn’t want to clash with the World Cup. Two, when we decided to postpone the film, we wanted to release it only on Friday, the 13th,” Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV says. Hence, it’s Friday, the 13th [July] now!
