Is Shahid being roped in for 'Karamchand'?

The extremely popular detective TV show of the mid 80s, 'Karamchand', was brought back on Sony TV with much fanfare and with the highly talented Pankaj Kapoor ('Dus ', 'Maqbool') once again essaying the title role.
However, the initial response to the show has been quite discouraging and the ratings quite low. In an effort to improve the ratings and to once again achieve past glories, all sorts of ideas are being floated.
According to the grapevine, efforts are on to rope in Pankaj Kapoor's star son Shahid (fresh from the super success of 'Vivah') for one of the forthcoming episodes.
While the channel is tight-lipped about Shahid, it has been heard that the story idea for an episode featuring the father-son pair has already worked out and it is just Pankaj Kapoor's approval that is awaited.
With no confirmation or contradiction of the above development we can just wait and watch in suspense as to how 'Karamchand' solves this case!
