Irrfan Khan's son debuts with Metro Click here to add this article to My Clips

By IndiaFM News Bureau, February 15, 2007 - 11:21 IST

Anurag Basu’s Metro, a film about urban relationships, is close to completion, and in its last schedule. In the last 15 days of the shoot, Irrfan Khan’s son Ayaan Khan made an unexpected entry in Metro.

Irrfan Khan and Konkana Sen Sharma play a married couple in the film. He meets Konkana through a marriage portal, gets into a blind date, and gets hitched! They had a scene in the film wherein they are riding on a bike with a 3-year old son. They got a child to play that role. But suddenly in the middle of the shoot, the child began to cry unstoppably. The shoot could not be delayed further. So Irrfan came to the rescue. He summoned his own 3-year old son Ayaan to do the scene. Ayaan is in playschool and very passionate about bikes. He was thrilled to be in the bike scene with papa dearest! And thus, Ayaan made his unpredicted acting debut in Bollywood with his father.

Metro also features a great ensemble of stars like Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Sharman Joshi, and Anurag’s Gangster duo Shiney Ahuja and Kangana Ranaut.
