By IndiaFM News Bureau, February 6, 2007 - 11:44 IST

Adlabs’ Black Friday is all set for a February 9 release. The movie has affiliated with popular coffee-shop chain Barista to propagate the message of anti-terrorism.

Black Friday, directed by Anurag Kashyap, has announced a special Anti-Terrorism contest in association with Barista. Pamphlets will be distributed at Barista outlets in all major cities like Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. The contest is based on the famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi “An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind”. As part of the promotion, contestants will be able to win several prizes including Black Friday posters, T-shirts and a grand prize of a free lifetime supply of Black coffee!

The basic objective of the promotion is to reinforce the message of anti-terrorism that is being given out by the film. Barista seemed to be the apt affiliate as it attracts clientele varying from teenagers to young adults. Kashyap said that since the film is based on an event that took place only recently, it needs very little publicity. However, the tie-up with Barista Café was important as it will spread the anti-terror message amidst the youth.

The Black Friday anti- terror contest is scheduled to run till the release of the film – February 9th in all the major cities.
