Sandhya Mridul 'plays' with Mahesh Manjrekar

Sandhya Mridul has been roped in for Mahesh Dattani’s adaptation of Killing Time by Richard Stockwell. The play titled Double Deal: How Far Would You Go will see Sandhya playing the character of Rhea opposite Mahesh Manjrekar. Double Deal opened successfully in Kolkata in Hindi and it will soon be opening in Mumbai in English. Sandhya has all praise for her co-actor Mahesh Manjrekar and says that he is an amazing stage actor. Manjrekar has done a lot of theatre before and hence, Sandhya says that she learnt a lot from him.
Interestingly, before the play opens in Mumbai, actress Shabana Azmi called Sandhya and told her that she would want to see her play on day one. Sandhya was very nervous to have Shabana on the very first day to watch her play. The two have in fact worked together in Reema Kagti’s Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. which is set to release this month. Sandhya will soon be leaving for Kolkata to shoot for the film Via Darjeeling which stars Simone Singh, Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and Kay Kay Menon.
