Deepa Mehta plans comedy with Vidya and Madhavan

Deepa Mehta’s film Water has been nominated for Oscar this year and now everyone is eagerly awaiting the results. But even before the results come out, this talented filmmaker has also already started planning for her future projects. Mehta now plans to make a comedy with Vidya Balan. After seeing Vidya in Parineeta, Deepa has been keen to work with the actress. In fact, Deepa even has a script ready for her film with Vidya Balan. The film is titled Stella which will show Vidya portraying the role of a nanny. For the male lead, Deepa Mehta has chosen R. Madhavan. Deepa says that she already had Vidya and Madhavan on her mind when she was scripting for this film, and when she saw Guru, she was highly impressed looking at their onscreen chemistry.
Deepa Mehta’s Water been selected in the Best Foreign Language Film category at Oscar this year. The film stars John Abraham, Lisa Ray and Seema Biswas and it has been the official Canadian entry to the Academy Awards.
