The life of filmmaker Chetan Anand

It’s been nearly a decade since filmmaker Chetan Anand passed away. The elder brother of Dev Anand and Vijay Anand, Chetan is known till date for some of the greatest films like Taxi Driver(1954), Haqeeqat (1964) and Hindustan Ki Kasam(1974) , to mention a few. Paying a tribute this great filmmaker, his wife, Uma Anand, has penned down a biography on his life. On the other hand, his son, Ketan Anand, has shot a documentary on the same.
Ketan Anand says that not many might know this but his mother has been a writer and a journalist for many years. She has in fact, even written many children’s books. The biography on Chetan Anand’s life written by Uma Anand is complete and Ketan is looking out for distributors. The documentary is also in its ultimate stage and he is giving it some final touches.
Ketan plans to send this book and the documentary to the Cannes Film Festival wishing that they might have a special tribute to Chetan Anand.
