Bachchan in Leena Yadav's next Click here to add this article to My Clips

Remember Leena Yadav, director of Aishwarya Rai-Sanjay Dutt starrer Shabd? The director is on cloud nine, as she has now signed superstar Amitabh Bachchan for her upcoming project.

Bachchan met up with Leena through her husband cinematographer Aseem Bajaj, who has worked with Abhishek Bachchan in Rohit Shetty’s Zameen. So after a long hiatus, Amitabh Bachchan decided to work with a female director. The only other time he had worked with a female director was when he did Honey Irani’s Armaan. Although Leena is not ready to divulge much about her project with AB, the film is an emotional drama and has a lot of young actors. It will be produced by Ambika Hinduja. Leena is of course completely honoured to be working with the biggest name in the film industry. She went ahead to say that the film would not have been possible without him. All in awe of the senior Bachchan, Yadav said that she is thrilled to work for this project.

Although this film is not as eccentric as Yadav’s debut stint Shabd, she is confident that it will do well because the script is centred on none other than Mr. Bachchan!
