Message in a Band

Rahul Dholakia, director of Parzania, has thought of an innovative way to reach out to his young audiences. He has decided to distribute wrist-bands along with movie tickets and other catchment areas to propagate a social message.
Parzania is a movie about a Parsi family that loses their son Parzan in the chaotic Gujarat riots. It has been inspired by the true story of Rahul's dear friend Dara Modi. As per Rahul, the movie aims to spread the anti-hate message to the audiences. He says, "That's what the film is about and that's what we intend to do as a country and as a civilization, worldwide. This band will show your support to uniting India and defeating hate, regardless of religion, caste and creed." The saffron-white-green coloured bands say "Defeat hate. Celebrate unity" - which is precisely what the film is trying to convey.
Parzania will see a mass release on 26th January this year. An elated Rahul said to IndiaFM, "We are releasing the film on Republic Day, which is a National day. And I felt that we should spread the anti-hate message to the youth, which can be done with the help of these bands."
