Onir to run for a cause!

Mumbai’s favourite run – the Standard Chartered Marathon is about to hit the city yet again. Every year, Mumbai’s glitterati participate heartily in the run. This year will be no different.
Bollywood director Onir of Bas Ek Pal fame will be treading the streets of Mumbai in the 6 kilometre Dream Run on the 21st of this month. But Onir is not running for nothing. His participation is meant to raise awareness and funds for The India Education Revival Trust. The mission of this trust is to teach children by focusing on their physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual development, combining the Steiner philosophy of holistic learning with the Indian context and education system. And the least Onir could do is spread the word through the Mumbai Marathon.
Onir did a wonderful job with the direction of My Brother Nikhil in 2005 and Bas Ek Pal last year. But it seems like Onir is not just a great director but also a great human being!
